COLABA OUD
The Connoisseur's Guide to Applying and Wearing Pure Oud Oil
Learn the precise art of wearing viscous Dehn Al Oud: glass wand application, pulse point activation, textile layering, and Gulf majlis etiquette.
The Micro-Drop Application Technique
Pure oud oil is extraordinarily concentrated. A single swipe of the crystal dip rod—no larger than the head of a pin—is sufficient. Apply the drop directly onto the inner wrist or the webbing between thumb and index finger, then gently transfer it behind the ears and to the base of the throat without harsh rubbing.
Activating the Oil with Body Heat
Never rub wrists vigorously together; excessive friction shears delicate volatile top molecules. Instead, dab gently. The natural warmth of your arterial pulse points will slowly bloom the heavier sesquiterpene resin compounds over several hours.
Textile Application & Majlis Scent Layering
For peerless sillage, apply oil to the collar or cuffs of natural wool, linen, or silk garments where body oils cannot break it down. In traditional Khaleeji rituals, pure oil application is immediately followed by standing over burning agarwood chips (mabkhara) to seal the scent into clothing.
